About the event
nowledge and Qualifications:
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
• Excellent and up-to-date knowledge and use of, GIS, databases, and Microsoft IT systems, including Excel.
• Specialist knowledge in one or more of the following areas: crime, community safety and crime and disorder reduction, offender management, gangs, youth offending, drugs and alcohol, Anti- Social Behaviour and environment.
• Sound knowledge of information and data sources of relevance to crime and community safety and of the requirements for data sharing between partner agencies.
• Specialist knowledge of statistical and information analysis and a good understanding of compiling and presenting statistical data and analysis, including trend analysis and crime patterns.
• Proven ability to apply research and analysis skills to a wide range of crime and community safety issues.
• Knowledge and experience of data protection, accessible information and data sharing procedures appropriate to local government
Experience:
• Experience of working in a multi-agency community safety environment; working collaboratively with internal and external partners.
• Experience of working in local government, Police or other large, multi-functional organisation within a criminal justice analyst or researcher role.
• Proven experience of undertaking research, analysing information making recommendations and preparing detailed reports.
